New Features

As of this week, Jayne's Hill will be presenting a new series of feature articles. Because writing stuff on this blog helps to commit me to action, I'm happy to announce a line up of articles that will be gracing the pages of Jayne's Hill in the weeks to come. You see, I need to make more money, and I figure if I am writing enough, somehow, it will turn into cash. So, here goes.

I enjoy writing about my really talented friends. I enjoy writing about my outdoor and building adventures. I enjoy writing about culturally topical issues, for example, the upcoming release of Harry Potter, or, the recently released governmental report on employment in the United States.

Eventually, I would like Jayne's Hill to mature into a page that encourages social justice, an artistic lifestyle, and unconventional thinking about culture and news. So, if you have something you'd like my opinion on, let me know and I'll put something together. If you want me to research something or speak with someone, send me an email.

In the meantime, I'm going to try to put together a few separate series runs: "Culture & Convention", "In the Study", "Faces & Names", "Chartreuse Municipal Exploits", and "Short Fictional Thoughts". Granted, this is much more than I will ever end up writing in a week, but this let's you know what to expect and it helps me know what to expect. Isn't communication grand?

Anyway, hopefully this works. If you like what you read, let me know. If you don't like what you read, think about it until you either like it, or you have constructive criticism to offer.

I guess, upon reflection, I realize that it is important to put forward that this is not a blog. It is neither cute nor thematic. It is--hopefully--an online publication.
